Roxy visits Jake Shimabukuro

When young women’s action sports apparel brand Roxy decided to film members of their surf team gallivanting around the Hawaiian island of Oahu in a Ford Fiesta (as part of a collaboration with the Ford team), they knew they had to do something special – something that would capture the spirit of both the experience and the gorgeous surroundings in which it took place. Enter Jake Shimabukuro, world-renowned ukulele player and composer, Hawaiian native son, and all around great guy. We arranged for the Roxy girls to visit Jake as part of their adventure, including an intimate performance at a local studio. We oversaw every aspect of securing Jake’s involvement, from negotiating fees with management, to coordinating dates and times with the Roxy team, to last minute day-of logistics.

A truly unique and special experience for the Roxy surf team and their thousands of fans watching on YouTube. This was an organic, “no brainer” artist and brand collaboration, a mutually beneficial partnership that yielded new fans for both parties. We’re thrilled to have been a part of it.
