Music supervision and licensing for the biggest-selling action sports film of all time

In 2011 we music supervised The Art Of Flight, the highly-anticipated feature-length snowboard film created by the team at Brain Farm Digital Cinema and produced by Red Bull Media House. The film – directed by Brain Farm's Curt Morgan and shot entirely in gorgeous HD, mostly from helicopters -- chronicles the exploits of world-renowned snowboarder Travis Rice and assorted friends as they traverse the globe in search of increasingly life-threatening thrills.

We worked closely with Curt to make his musical vision for the film a reality, licensing tracks from Sigur Ros, Deadmau5, M83, The Naked & Famous, Hum, The Black Angels, Okkervil River and others (as well as tracks for both of the film's trailers and for a World Of Red Bull TV spot promoting the film).

We also worked closely with the film's producer, Red Bull Media House, advising on which rights to acquire for the film, and helping to manage both the music budget and the clearance time-line for one of their most important projects ever.

The Art Of Flight is now the biggest-selling action sports film of all time, and is universally regarded as a watershed moment in action sports filmmaking. Simply put, it's a jaw-dropping tour de force with major crossover appeal. We relied on our decades of experience, contacts and know-how in the course of working on the film, which at times got as hairy as some of the lines that Rice and his friends were riding on-screen. Ultimately, we got Brain Farm every song they wanted, on-budget and on time.
